Time and Knowledge is of vital importance in this field. Both from the couple's and the doctor's perspective. The couple should know the clock is ticking as far as the woman's age is concerned. They should also be well acquainted with the basic knowledge of the fertility management. For the doctor, its important, rather vital, to be able to spend some time with the couple, to understand their dilemma, their concerns and of course their problems. The knowledge of the doctor is not only in diagnosing and advising, but also in selecting the tailor made scientific approach for the couple, which helps them to maximise their chances of conception.

The various events for a "Woman's Day" prompted me to think...Why a day? Why not celebrate a Lifetime? The celebration of the many aspects of Womanhood! A conversation / A consultation!

Recently after a consultation concluded , the couple requested the nurse to come back  to my cabin for a quick word. They came in to convey that they had never had a  consultation like this with any Specialist /Gynecologist, and that they are thankful to me for summarising their diagnosis, and plan of action with so much of clarity!  I was taken aback! I graciously acknowledge their kind words and that it was my job to do so. However, it got me thinking     What do you expect when you meet your fertility expert?
